Continuing. Originally found by Dave P. I re-located the bird today at North View Park but Philip D, John D, and I moved to the boat launch area after the flock flew to a spot closer to that location. Size was similar to that of nearby dunlins but the overall color seemed a little darker. The bill was decurved and was shorter than the bills of the dunlins. The bird was close enough that I was able to see spots on the flanks. Photos are screen grabs from digiscope video. The field marks described above could be seen easily through the scope but, while taking the video, I was unable to see those field marks through my phone screen. At the time I started the video, Philip and I had just seen the bird right between the two mud piles seen in the photos but, of course, it moved during the few seconds that passed before I could start the video. For those reasons, the choice of screen grabs was based on seeing one bird in the video that looked, overall, darker than the others.
