Initially found by Jim Chiropolos over the lunch hour, who didn't have a camera with him but thought this Myiarchus was probably a Dusky-capped Flycatcher. Refound about an hour later by Sharon Jue and Lucas Corneliussen who got a positive ID on the bird. I arrived around 3pm and spent about a half hour looking with others before Graham found it on the barbed wire fence that separates the row of poplars along the entry road from the Port of Oakland facilities. About 10 birders present. The bird would sally around the truck yard (possibly dead bugs on the carriage) and return to the fence. Small Myiarchus, noticeably smaller than ATFL - also less upright in its perch. Tail is shorter than an ATFL and is plain gray-brown, not rufous. No appreciable wingbars. I'll upload some photos showing this detail.
