Seen flying over west to east near the entrance to the wildlife area. I noted a large dark green (basically black from the distance) woodpecker with deep rowing wingbeats. I am familiar with their unique flight style from time in northern AZ and NM. When I saw the bird in flight, before using binoculars, I knew immediately it was a LEWO because of their funky flight style. Awful pic of the bird in flight that is basically useless but may show some of the LEWO characteristics.
