This was my 6th or 7th trip to PJNY searching for BB Pitta. My earlier trips had all been with Paul Farrell and were part of a broader team effort to find BB Pitta in NE Thailand, details of which are documented in the June 20203 issue of BirdingAsia (being published currently). On several earlier trips Paul F had made sound recordings and had seen the bird, although I had not, but so far we had not managed a photograph. On this visit, with Duanpen Passant, I was finally able to see the bird for the first time and managed to get a useable photograph, as well as several sound recordings.
