One vocal birded landed atop the live oak thicket by the waterfowl blind while I was under it, then continued calling as it moved north. After walking north past the maintenance access road, another calling bird flew over me with some HOFI headed northbound. I was able to record that individual's flight calls as it approached and passed over. Then, a third individual was heard in the septic field north of the visitor center and then seen and photographed. It is possible all three of these were the same individual working northward and stopping along the way, though it is also possible these were three different individuals. Had I been walking southbound and the birds been going northbound, or had I been stationary with the birds passing over me, it would be easy to call this three different birds, however since I was walking the same direction as the sightings occurred in, I feel like this is best as a 1-count even though the count was anywhere from 1 to 3.
