At about 40 seconds into recording the adult GRRO starts growling as it watches me try to corner and catch the baby roadrunner which is trapped in a corner of my yard. The adult was outside the chainlink fence just a foot away stooping low to the ground and doing some wing flashing displays.

観察結果の詳細

An adult roadrunner was foraging about my yard with it's fledged baby nearly of equal size. They got separated and the baby got trapped in a corner of my yard and could not figure it's way out. I decided to help catch the baby and relocate it back with the parent. But as I did this the adult went crazy and made noises I had never heard from a roadrunner before. I whipped out my Merlin ap to try to record a tiny bit of the growls. But mainly I worked quick to catch the juvenile and get it back to the adult, only after I gave it a drink of water as it was stressed and its hot.
