I originally thought this was a Cattle Egret. Stopped birding and sat down and glassed. I was glassing the Cattle Egret as well as the Snowy Egret and observed the bills to be different colors. Black on the Snowy Egret. Yellow/orange on the Cattle Egret. Plus, the one Egret with the black bill had a plume off the back of it’s head. I had a chance to see it’s legs. It flew over two Hawaiian Stilts and hover/harass them. Then flew back to a marshy area w/legs out of site. At this time, I really didn’t know it was a Snowy Egret yet and didn’t pay attention to leg color. Snowy Egret appeared larger than the Cattle Egret. Flew off shortly after I realized I might have just seen something special. Photos were taken after I submitted my list.
