観察結果の詳細
One small shearwater spotted approaching from port side traveling fast to the east parallel to the boat; spotted by MJI but we were unable to get a message to the top deck and when it was noticed we stopped the boat and the bird shot past us. Photos showed to to be an Audubon's, with a long tail and distinctive face pattern. A few minutes, a second Audubon's was spotted on the water and seen well in low, bow-winged glides, manipulating its long tail to land, showing brownish upperparts and a fave pattern without the ear covert 'wrap-around' of Manx nor the white face and dark eye of Barolo; that second bird should be well photographed; interesting these are among one of the later state records (although few trips visit the canyons this late) and also were in a patch of cooler water (69 F) although warmer water was all around this patch (74-76F).
