Most likely an Oak Titmouse, but I'm putting this observation under this taxon for a few reasons. It's been a good year for Juniper Titmouse outside their typical range, so it's worth thinking about whether this species might wind up a bit farther west than usual. I have visited this site on several occasions recently and not noted any titmice in this area. The habitat is quite open, with scattered juniper trees. I'm not used to seeing Oak Titmouse in this habitat type, although eBird records do suggest that this species has been seen along this road, but not in the last few years. There are other more suitable spots for this species along Bob's Gap Rd. than this juniper stand. This bird was along the road and immediately noticeable, as it was hanging out on the tops of the juniper trees. To my eyes, it appeared quite gray with very minimal to no brown tinge to the back. The bird was alone and silent the entire time I observed it. Again, most likely an OATI, but the slight differences in appearance, habitat, and behavior compared to what I'm used to for this species made me want to note this observation separately.
