観察結果の詳細
Observed bird for about 10-15 minutes. I noted immediately it was not a usual bird for the location and thought its sloppy ventral appearance was due to the rain, but views with the binoculars showed it was not wet. Prominent field marks were 1) a grayish, dull, buffy, uneven breast coloration, but not close to the well-defined markings on a Lincoln's; 2) flank-streaking was not well-defined; 3) size was a bit larger than a Lincoln's and close to the Song's; 4) the bright, clear, rufous color of the primaries and secondaries and bold black streaks on the back of the bird, plus its broad grey nape also helped distinguish the bird from a Lincolns and nearly anything else with the possible exception of a Rufous-winged Sparrow; 5) the bill was nearly uniformly dark and conical. (Photos will be added to this report.)
