観察結果の詳細
This would appear to be the same group found yesterday evening by Glenn Hodgkins and seen this morning up until they were flushed by boaters. These were large diving ducks intermixed with scaup and Bufflehead; they sometimes were in their own group. 6 males and 2 females: males with deep copper colored necks and heads with ruby eyes, bodies grayish white except for black breast and caudal section, including tail, bills glossy black and long and sloped congruent with forehead; the females had necks and heads dull tawny to buff-brown and dingy whitish gray bodies; the area around the eyes on the females was whitish, forming indistinct eyerings. The birds foraged in the shallow waters with the other divers and came up with muddy blackish faces at times. They also spent time preening.
