1 s 9:50, 1 s 10:12. Both pretty close flying south and seen in nice lighting for a couple minutes each. Underwings seen on both birds. First was brighter than the second but both showed diffuse paleness throughout the outer half of the underwing. Additionally head was relatively small compared to what Sooty Would be with a steep forehead and stubby bill. Both showed pale throats. The second was particularly pale in the throat. Noticed that the fresh secondaries showed pale on the second bird. Lots of gliding just off the water with quick bursts of flapping intermittently. Wings bowed on both. Video taken of first bird.
