Immature bird found on shoreline of drawn-down reservoir just north of the end of Oxbow Road, here: 45.86937, -89.49015. Distinctive black-white-and-gray wing pattern noted (see screen grabs from video taken with phone through binoculars), as well as buoyant flight style, dusky auriculars and sides of neck, and long wingtips when at rest. Moving up and down a small section of shoreline for the duration of our observations and occasionally giving excellent views. Largely remaining separate from nearby flocks of Ring-billed Gulls, either walking along sandy/mucky shorelines or flying above log-jammed mucky flats, picking insects off the water's surface. Putting on a spectacular show, in general. My first self-found rarity in quite some time; I suppose this is what happens when field botany season winds down. Later seen by other observers.
