This was an absolutely remarkable and wholly unexpected delight!! I was still in the car when I heard the unmistakable rasps and chuckles of Corellas in the nearby gums; naturally, I assumed them to be part of the very healthy and photogenic Long-Bill population, and so I set off in hot pursuit... imagine my absolute shock when was greeted me was a tree absolutely packed with small, pure-white Littles, their beaks owlish-short, and their plumage immaculate!! They made for a very pleasant watch as well; very noticeably, despite being in a flock, almost all of them were sitting in discreet pairs, affectionately grooming and nibbling at each other, with the bachelors and spinsters amongst them waddling up and down the clear branches... this was by far the most Littles I've ever had in Tasmania, a number I'd scarcely have thought likely to exist anywhere outside the Midlands, and I was able to bag some photos of the flock with an exact count as they headed off to feed, wheeling and shrieking their way across towards Margate itself...
