At cabin 9 agave beginning at about 3:45. Reappeared about every 5 minutes. Review of photos suggest that two different birds were present, one with an all green throat and one with mottled gray. These may represent the adult male and female which were banded at SWRS on 13 August. So we are going with two birds although at the time only one had been reported. EDIT. Just heard back from Dr. Lanon as follows: "Hi Joseph, Excellent observations, and excellent photos! You are correct- there is a Berylline pair at SWRS. I banded the female this spring and recaptured her yesterday. The male was captured for the first time and banded yesterday, but we are pretty sure he has been around all season too. The female was gravid in the spring so I think they probably have a nest somewhere nearby. The male is the one with the brighter green throat, while the female has more gray edges on the feathers. They're almost identical otherwise! Michele"
