I believe the trio of Willow pictures, featuring the bright orange bill, is a juvenile and this was in the base of the cove on the Wetlands Trail. It popped up all of a sudden out of the grasses and perched as indicated by the photos. Although there is a photo of it with its beak wide open, it did not make a sound and I thought and adult was approaching with food but that did not happen. It then ducked back down into the grasses. The usual singing adult showed up a few seconds later and then went up to its perch to give out some "wit" calls which were answered, softly, across the open area at the tree line. So I had 3 in the base of the cove. I had the continuing one that hangs around the meadow area on the west bank of the cove. For the first time, there was one (included photograph as well) that appeared in the meadow area in the s-curve of the Wetlands Trail.
