whilst searching for Grasswrens on dune near airport. Initially picked up by Dan Ashdown - heard unfamiliar parrot calls and observed 7 birds in flight travelling NNW. Initially only 150-200mt distant at eye level, good binocular views - overall greenish appearance, paler green upper wing panels and long tails noted. Unmistakable polylelis-style flight - kept low and moved fast. Managed single record shot after they had passed and some distance away - unfortunately did not land. Subsequent search of general area failed to locate.
