Adult. Sitting on the water with the California and the Short-billed. Immediately noticed the tiny size, it was almost half the size of the short-billed next to it. When resting on the water, short winged and short necked with very short thin black bill. Long distant, tried for photos. Photos below, first shows landscape context on the lake and the second shows zoomed in that is within the yellow box of the first photo. No plumage details in the zoomed in photo but you can tell overall tiny size relative to the California and Short-billed. The Little Gull was noticeably smaller than even the Short-billed as seen in the zoomed in photo. Could just make out a small ear spot. Gray back, pale wingtips. In the entire time watching, it got up once briefly and could confirm pale wing tips and saw it bank to reveal dark underwings. It had a pale trailing edge as well, but no white leading edge like a Bonaparte would have. Still sitting on the water at a distance (almost in the middle of Rimrock) at 5:50 when left due to fading light.
