Slim, long-tailed shearwater comparable in wingspread to Laughing Gulls pursuing it. Facial, dorsal and underwing patterns appear to eliminate all regularly occurring Atlantic Coast shearwaters. Long, thin, pointed tail in powered flight supports Wedge-tailed. Photos have been circulated to individuals familiar with shearwaters and there has been support for light morph Wedge-tailed ID.
