Bird seen early this morning at Little Platte Marina. Bird originally found evening before by Mary Nemecek but no ID was concluded until bird was seen very well today. We took a pontoon boat out to get closer views and we were not disappointed. Bird was heavily marked (a juvenile bird). Ruled out Long-tailed and Pomarine with the diagnostic pale edgings to the primaries, bill slender and long with black tip- not short and stuby like a long-tailed. Center rectrices were pointed and projected past the rest of the tail slightly- Pom and LT jaegers would have blunt center rectrices. In addition, we saw the feet well which were black at the toes. The amount of white primary shafts on the upper wing were more than expected on a LT jaeger. Plausible second jaeger seen, but only brief and not Identified. Behavior: bird chased forsters and franklins gulls but only made a few passes. It was seen sitting a majority of the time while on the boat. *bird being documented for MRBC*
