Considerable white on undersides and some whiteness in throat and neck area
観察結果の詳細
Probably the "flighty" bird first seen on July 21. There is a detailed write-up on this bird in the 31-Aug-2016 eBird report. I had good scope time on the bird today also. I have no changes to report in the bird's appearance. Basically, this immature bird's plumage has lost some of its whiteness since it was first seen July 21, 2016. From Cornell Lab's website I found this description of Little Blue's "Appearance" section which is probably applicable: Second Basic Plumage Present primarily Oct–Sep in North American populations. Similar to Definitive Basic Plumage but blue and purple coloration can be duller, washed sooty. Head and neck can be more purplish (less reddish). Throat and chin often mixed with dull whitish or brownish feathers. White, whitish, or mixed blue-and-white feathers occasionally present in underparts or underwing coverts. Posterior lower parts can be duller, more brownish. Some Second Basic individuals acquire Definitive Plumage and are indistinguishable from older birds. Sexes alike in plumage; ornamental plumes likely average shorter in females than males (see Definitive Basic Plumage) but details lacking.
