Heard extremely high-pitched, persistent calls coming from at least three different places in a mixed conifer/deciduous stand past the big open bend in the trail (about halfway to reservoir), but I couldn't get a visual on a single bird making the calls! The calls were consistently high pitched, and didn't have any of the phrases (e.g. three notes, trees trees beautiful trees, etc.) I'm used to hearing in creeper calls/songs (which were also in the area). At one point, I briefly saw a bird flit through the greenery, but I'm not even sure if it was one of the sources of the calls. After 30 or so seconds of calls, the birds making them melted away into the foliage and gradually went silent. I'm including a recording I got, and the spectrogram seems to match up pretty well with the GCKI call, and not well with any BRCR calls/songs I can find on Macaulay.
