A couple with 2 nestlings less than 4 days old. The image shows one of the parents feeding on one of the nestlings with a ripe (yes it is bright green) fruit of Miconia albicans (Melastomataceae). Habitat: grassland savanna (campo cerrado). The Elaenia couple sung in duet the typical E. flavogaster song, hence no doubt about the identification. Nikon D850 + Nikkor 800mm f/5.6 ai-s EDIF + tripod, ISO 3200, f/11 at 1/1000s; 22% cropped( 9.9/45MP). I would say this lichen-covered nest is almost perfectly camouflaged with the lichen-covered twig. Soon after sunrise in a cloudy morning.
