photos at water feature; large orange lower mandible, deep-based bill, pale white wing bar, dense black steaking below. I heard a "tink" call but I am not familiar with this Thick-billed call, so not sure if from this bird or an alarmed White-crowned Sparrow nearby. Noticeably thicker-billed than a Slate-colored Fox Sparrow seen at the front yard water feature.
