natural vocalization; song from a presumed male perched on the ground in somewhat rocky, mostly dry tundra just below an exposed rocky hill. While singing the bird was perched on an exposed tussock. It alternated this song type with flight songs, and seemed to sing from the same few tussocks in a small area.
