Large chicken-like bird. The alternate dark and light striping appears to encircle the whole body. This feature separates it from almost all the other grouse like species. Talil is rathe short and roundish. In poor light gives the impression of a ball with a head and wings. Very poor photos attached. cold light and distance ~3/8 mile-made for ID only photos.
