Went to this area to search for previously reported Evening Grosbeak. I parked near the house it was reported, and immediately upon getting out of my car I thought I heard them from the railroad tracks. I started walking down the tracks and one of the first birds I saw was this Shrike on the top of a tree. Got a solid look for about two minutes before it flew across the farm field toward the Connecticut River. Did not end up finding the grosbeaks. Photos
