Appeared to show clear white outer tail feathers (at least outer web) but difficult to see extent of this in the field. Otherwise similar to Indian in structure and plumage patterning, including much rufous in wing, but slightly less black spotting on breast (unless Indians can vary with this?). Video grabs clearly show that it is only the outer web of the outer tail feather that is white, whereas Singing should show fully white outer tail feathers. However none of the other bushlarks are supposed to show white: rufous or buff at best. I think it's most likely that this is a variation in Indian Bushlark, not documented elsewhere? Other features seem to fit Indian much better than Singing. This is clearly a major pitfall in claims of suspected Singing Bushlarks: you have to see the entire outer tail feather. None of the Karnataka photos of claimed Singing show this clearly, and some do show that only the outer web is white, e.g. https://macaulaylibrary.org/asset/104685991#_ga=2.258813199.420623896.1582959971-2065087622.1579925329. However, songs and calls are also confusing, and I haven't even begun to go through them. There is an interesting project here for someone!
