Transcript of vocal notes [cut 1]: “Yellow-throated Warbler singing.” [2]: “That’s the same male Yellow-throated Warbler. I guess the female is in here too. There are two Yellow-throated Warblers. Occasionally they’ll chase each other around. It even seemed to me like one of those songs came from a male as he was chasing a female around; I can’t confirm that. The territory seems to be centered on this enormous baldcypress that’s sticking out of a clearing here, a flooded clearing in the woods. There are a couple other big baldcypresses around, but mostly the woods around it are much younger than this huge multi-trunked tree that this bird seems to be centered around.” [3]: “Same male Yellow-throated Warbler, same place. And that ‘keeyah’ noise that I thought was going to be a Red-shouldered Hawk was a flyover Common Grackle, for sure.”
