White-throated Laughingthrush : Male transferring food to female as a courtship gesture. Sat Tal forest was reverberating with summer melodies of Himalayan beauties ..... rising to the occasion ... displaying full repertoire of their vocalization skills ..... and there were occasional more overt displays of affection ... as well ... as seen here ... A male ( left ) White-throated Laughingthrush is transferring the gift of food to his date ..... this is a Mono-morphic species ... but watching the video makes it possible to discern ..... and quite expectedly after this exchange ... the male flew into the canopy ... with the lovely lady in his tow ... still holding the gift in her bill ..... luckily, all this quick real-time action could be captured in this video-clip ...
