A pair of Crested Guineafowl feeding and preening . The Crested Guineafowl (Guttera pucherani) is unmistakeable with its mop of curly black feathers on its crown. This species is confined to the most northern part of Kruger Park, and also occurs in Kwazulu-Natal and Mozambique and northern Zimbabwe in sub-Saharan Africa. Crested Guineafowls are omnivorous – this pair was foraging near our chalet in Punda Maria Restcamp in Kruger Park in the early morning. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: June 25, 2018.
