African Spoonbill preening. The African Spoonbill (Platalea alba) is widespread in sub-Saharan Africa. This bird was preening in the nearly dry bed of the Crocodile River at Crocodile Bridge in Kruger Park. It was standing next to a preening Yellow-billed Stork. Elevation: 287 m. Date added to IBC: June 11, 2018.
