caspian plover feeding behavior. birds smells or show presence of prey below four five inch (under surface) of ground. concentrates on it .and slowly rushes toward prey(under ground surface) and than open its sharp pointed beak and than hammers with force and hammers repeatedly until the prey does not come out with dust.than peak ups the prey and finishes in between beak until not finished. I think the prey/food was snail. Elevation: 1 m. Date added to IBC: February 27, 2017.
