Single bird seen with Red-necked Stint in SE corner of lake. A very worn bird, not sure of age but suspect perhaps a very worn first year moulting out of juvenile plumage. Key features include - overall shape: shorter and more rounded body with longer legs giving the impression of a "ball on sticks", and more rounded back - longer legs, both tibia and tarsus but most noticeable in length of exposed tibia (visible in some of the photos, obscured in others with fluffed out feathers) - facial pattern, with weak dark loral stripe not extending through and behind the eye, and weaker pale supercilium (largely absent behind the eye) giving a "white-faced" look - darker crown, also narrower in profile (see front-on comparison shot with Red-necked Stint on right). Crown darkness is useful, but a little problematic in this particular case as the bird is also worn and darker generally. - longer bill - not as clearly fine-tipped as in some Littles, but still quite long (though several Red-neckeds seen today had bills approaching a similar length)
