While conducting a whale survey for Glacier Bay National park, Chris Gabriele noted shearwaters 5 times (4, 20, 25, 15, and 200) in Icy Strait near the mouth of Glacier Bay off Point Carolus. It is assumed these were Short-tailed Shearwaters judging from her photos here and from the high number of Short-tailed Shearwaters seen and photographed in the area over the previous month.
