Found by Jean and Blayne Farnan. Juvenile bird. Observed by Niagara and Hamilton birders. Dull yellowish legs, buff coloured neck and breast and reddish tinge on the edges of the feathers above. White u-shaped band on rump observed when bird was in flight and preening. Tertials long and lifting in the wind (noted by Bob Curry). Observed beside a Pectoral Sandpiper when we first arrived. Approximately twice the size of the PESA. One photo taken by Jean when we first arrived. Ruff then moved farther from the road.
