The birds were perched in close proximity to one another in a medium sized tree. The playback track was played 4 times. (NOTE: the bird's response to the playback track was so immediate that it was left in the recording). The birds respond to the track while facing the microphone. They then fly directly above the microphone and land briefly before flying off.
