**MEGA** Continuing bird found by Dan Jones on 2 Aug 2014. Small plover, about the size of nearby Snowy Plovers, but smaller than nearby peeps. General first impressions were black neck band with hint of a lighter hind neck. Relatively thinner, shorter bill than Wilson's Plover with similar build, especially long, pink legs. Dark line extending from bill to the eye distinctive, but dark forehead similar to Snowy. The bird moved around a lot, with typical run-stop behavior of other plover species. However, the bird seemed to cover ground more quickly than other species I've observed. Several times I would look away and briefly lose sight of the bird only to find it 15-25 yards away from where I last saw it. The bird bathed and drank water as well as foraged during the observation period. Was also observed quarreling with a Snowy Plover, who chased it a short distance away.
