A continuing adult bird. Noticeably larger darker streaking (or splotching) on head and upper breast to the point almost where the head appeared brown from a distance rather than white with brown streaks or spots as on RBGU. Brown was also a warmer color than the gray-brown spots/streaks on heads of RBGUs when there were streaks. All yellowish bill with no black ring near distal tip. Could not discern any real size difference between this and surounding gulls. The gray mantle was just ever so slightly darker than surrounding RBGU which was not a question of how it angled in the sun as I noted it from several different angles and positions. Dark eye. Yellow legs. Never saw the bird in flight with enough time to study wing pattern, nor was the rear of the bird completely unobstructed, but the larger white scapular and tertials spots were noted. Perhaps it was the intense wind that was blowing at the time but the expected rounded "dove-like" head shape was not apparent- nor in the photos taken.
