All alone along the SE edge of pond/marsh. Adult pink-footed gull. No other gulls near it, but it seemed to be rather large. Streaky head. Pale gray mantle. Solid black in wing tips.Yellow bill with small black and red spot. Yellow eye. In flight got a brief look at the underside of the wingtip which showed a very small amount of solid black. Held bill slightly opened and seemed to gag often. A bit lethargic but able to walk and fly normally. Not a gull expert but the pale gray, large size, and limited streaking seem to point to Herring, while medium-sized bill, round head, and limited black in under wing indicate Thayer's Iceland. Solid black eliminates Glaucous-winged hybrid. I said someone help me. Update Feb 7: Feedback leans toward Herring.
