Found by Rui Rufino and Ricardo Silva (30th of January) who reported two birds on this location. First contact with the bird was by call. Later a dark warm brown bird flew from the place where this call was coming and disappeared right after behind cattails (Typha sp.) and no other features besides general coloration were noted and Cetti's Warbler was not discarded, unfortunately). A few minutes later an Acrocephalus type (sub)song was heard; this happened a few times during the morning followed by moments of silence. During these moments a few sightings of a "brown warbler" were once again insufficient to get a positive visual ID. Song notes uttered were similar to Reed Warbler, although short series of whitles were heard at the beginning of a few sentences which are typical of Moustached Warbler. Sérgio Correia saw the bird for a few seconds and is confident with the ID. None of the other observers were able to locate the bird. Recordings attached. This bird never answered to playback.
