Presumed continuing first cycle bird present since mid December. We were making our way south down the middle (CA side) of the lake, and as we passed Havasu Landing the kittiwake flew in from the southwest directly over our boat to join the flock of Ring-billed Gulls that was following us. The kittiwake stayed behind the boat for several minutes, then eventually flew off and settled on the water alone. As we approached for better views and photos, it would fly off about 100 meters and land on the water again. It repeated this several times before we eventually left the bird and continued back toward Site #6.
