Continuing since Nov 24; found the flock of 10 RECRs at 9:05. I think they are targeting the cones of Virginia Pine in areas by boat launch and nearby slopes. I got audio and sent it to Matt Young (Cornell); he confirmed the spectrogram from it shows a nice mix of Types 1, 2 and 10/7. Matt said "the type 10/7 RECRs have upticks with tails but they are still identifying them as Type 10s. He said the 10/7s are widely known from southern Maritimes, south through Maine to central NY and Mass, and across central Quebec and Ontario through the Great Lakes to Minnesota. They "irrupt" southward every few years, mostly along coastal areas, to PA, RI, NJ and Delaware, Maryland, Virginia".
