Composite shot of 1.2 seconds of shots from my Nikon D500 with 200-500mm zoom.
観察結果の詳細
This bird appeared to all members of my group to be the size of a Greater Yellowlegs, but it had the mysterious long legs trailing it. After compositing the photos of the shots and sending them to other expert birders, the consensus is the Black-necked Stilt. It is the only possible and even slightly expected bird this size in this area with legs trailing at this length. The non-curved bill (which rules out both Ibis and Avocet) would be Black-necked Stilt. The bird was over 100 feet altitude, flew nearly directly overhead moving away from us first to our left, it then banked to the right, and dove down to land on Steigerwald Lake out of sight.
