NOTES: This cut was recorded after the last two cuts on tape #99-10; the unseen bird was 15-20 meters away on slope below me in dense undergrowth with many palms, seemingly quite low; about 4 km. out road to east of gate below sede (headquarters); whereas the Thryothorus approached and sang, the Automolus called once in response to playback, and then did nothing more; partly cloudy, breezy, 82¡ F; recorded at 19¡03Õ23" S, 40¡05Õ22" W; compared with LNS #32228 from Rio de Janeiro, this call is quite similar but slightly lower in frequency. Response to playback: Normal song. Habitat: Rainforest, Evergreen Forest.
