NOTES: Strata: SONG PERCH; V. "LAWARENCEI". BIRD RESPONDED TO PLAYBACK BY STOPPING A SERIES OF SONGS AND FLYING OVERHEAD CONTINUING ON TO ONE OF ITS REGULAR PERCHES. THE LAWRENCE SANG FROM BRANCHES OF DEAD TREES, MAKING A CIRCUIT EVERY 10 OR 20 MINUTES, APPARENTLY FEEDING IN BETWEEN TIMES, ALL WITHIN AN AREA LESS THAN 200FT IN DIAMETER. 27 SONGS PHARSES. 3 OF THE VERMIVORA PINUS TYPE. REMAINDER A UNIFORM TRILL. CADENCE APPOXIMATELY 10.3 SECONDS. BAN PASS 1000HZ TO 15000KHZ. [This is almost exclusively a dry trill that sounds like some components of "Type II" song of either parent species. The three exceptions (2:27, 2:30, and 3:03) are typical of the "beeee buzzzz" song of Vermivora pinus. Quality changed from 2-3 to 2 (wind/hiss increases at 2:05, but otherwise not bad) - CAM - 25 January 2005]. Sound stimulation was (other): PLAYBACK. Other Behaviors: Advertise.
