In the first of these cuts, a Buff-breasted Flycatcher is actually louder, but thankfully that soon shut up. Comes back toward the end. In all, these are five cuts of the same individual stitched together, which come to 8 minutes of song. The real-time pauses between these cuts are 1-2 minutes, but are here 2 seconds. A second individual can be heard responding in the background. Curious that this bird was singing so much, given that it's been on territory, and seemingly paired, since 27 March of this year. We did no playback of any kind; the bird was singing when we got there, and still singing when we left 20 minutes later. (The pair that's breeding in my backyard are mostly silent now; vigorous singing only occurs after playback.)

Constant, unprovoked singing from one individual, with occasional calls from a second individual, presumably its mate, in the background.
