Stepped out my front door to call my cat in and heard the distinct repetitive call of the saw Whet in my back yard. Two years ago they overwintered, last year several migrated through. There were also 3 Barred Owls caterwauling 100 yards south that silenced the SW until they quieted. Went out with recorder and there were a pair of Great Horned in my yard, started recording them and the Saw Whet joined in towards the end.
