First state record. Bird found beached at the 6 mile marker of Padre Island National Seashore in Kleberg county. The bird was transported to the Animal Rehabilitation Keep and was ultimately released successfully at the mouth of the Aransas Pass Ship Channel into the open gulf on July 6, 2010. Photo submitted to the TBRC and accepted as first state record. Adding information here to document the species' presence in Kleberg county.
