Tentative ID in field as Short-tailed based on flight habit, more flapping and less gliding than Sooty and with frequent changes of direction. Photos show shorter slender bill with narrow medial gap between nail and tube; dark head contrasting with pale throat; underwings show low contrast and lack the characteristic pattern of Sooty.
